The Ten Day Challenge

A „challenge“ when I was growing up was a task or a competition to prove something, a task one might or might not succeed at. You might fail at the task, you might lose the competition. A challenge was something you strove to rise to, with the understanding that try as you might, this was a thing which you might still lose attempting. In the 21st Century one „challenges“ one’s social media „friends“ to post lists of things: favorite books, favorite music, or photos on a particular theme. That’s all, just post photos, often photos of „likes“: here are CDs I like, here are movies, here are books I like. In this world a challenge is something you can’t fail at, and a task which hasn’t proven anything at all once you’ve completed it. Here are photographic representations of some things I like.
